Mrs. Uma Pradeep, the Principal of Indira National School, Parandwadi is an enthusiastic professional and innovative learner. She is an Academician & Administrator with close to 25 years of experience. She is a National finalist of prestigious National award for India’s most innovative teachers by ‘Tata Consultancy Services’ for the year 2009.
She hold a Post-Graduation degree in School Management & Education from IGNOU and an Arts graduate in English Literature from Pune University, Diploma in Education from Maharashtra board & B.Ed. from Pune University. She began her career in the year 1994.
Now spanning over 25 years of rich experience she has successfully discharged the role as Vice Principal of Indira National School, Tathawade, Wakad, Pune. She has worked collaboratively with the teachers to ensure that the students are provided with holistic education in a stress free, supportive and safe environment.
She believes that consistent efforts by the school for moulding the students in their crucial, formative academic years, challenging their mind to think beyond the text, positive attitude, healthy habits and providing the students a platform for showcasing their talent can shape the students personality and prepare the students for the real world.
She is passionate about students, committed to education and mentoring the teachers at creating individuals who can become a part of an evolving global environment.
As a leader she firmly believes in the ideology of Dr T.P. Chia that “Education is more than schooling and acquiring knowledge it teaches us how to think to discover our ignorance and to enrich our lives”.
